Love it or leave it: Super Bowl 2014

Everyone posted and tweeted what they hated and tolerated hours ago. (Ahem, brands tweeting at brands.) So I'm just gonna share what I enjoyed. They fell into two categories: a message that's bigger than the brand or a simple yet compelling product benefit.

You might not think this spot is as iconic as Coke's classic Hilltop commercial, but it's from the same DNA. And a message that bears repeating.

Kudos to General Mills for following up their earlier spot and ignoring the racist vitriol online.

I liked Axe's #KissForPeace spot, but I wondered if it's off brand until I checked out the social tie-in asking people to share a photo of themselves kissing.

I'm a Dad, so I can tell you that this speaks to the target so well. And it actually demonstrates a product benefit with an emotional connection.

I missed this one during the game, but another great demonstration of a brand promise and product feature.

Radio Shack was the clear winner. See why here.
